The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, or (CAASPP), is the test given to students in grades 3-8 and 11 in the subjects of language arts and mathematics. In addition, 5th and 8th grade students will also take the California Science Test (CAST), which is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Oak View’s testing window this year is from Monday, April 12, to Friday, April 30. Each teacher will set the exact dates and times for each of their grade-level tests within this time frame. For our HLP students, we are going to attempt to administer the tests here at Oak View using small groups and appropriate social distancing practices. I will be working with our HLP teacher Mrs. Visitacion to get the testing information specifics out to our HLP parents and students sometime in March.
Below are links to resources and information pertaining to CAASP and CAST. I urge you to take a look! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
